Have you experience getting caught in traffic jams and you do not have anything enjoyable to do while in the taxi? A Pinoy cab driver in Washington DC are making the rounds in the whole world as he features a karaoke in his cab to entertain his customers.
Joel Orbina Laguidao, a 46-year-old Davao del Sur native, is known in the Metro DC area as the “Filipino Karaoke Cab King.”
According to ABS-CBN News, he came to US in 2001 and worked odd jobs from a flower delivery guy to a cable repair guy. But when he became a cab driver in 2005, he never left the job since then.
"Buti na lang itong trabaho ko ako yung boss, flexible, kung gusto mo magtrabaho ng 5 hours, 10 hours, pag gusto mong kumita, ala magdamag walang tulugan," he said in an interview with ABS-CBN Balitang America.
He decided to put the popular Pinoy “Magic Sing” in his cab as he suffers from frequent long taxi waiting lines and heavy rush hour traffic jam in downtown Washington DC.

"Libangan para maalis yung lungkot. Alam mo naman dito sa America, syempre yung pamilya namimi-miss mo rin di ba?" he said.
Since 2007, DC passengers experience a delightful ride riding his extraordinary karaoke cab.
"Talagang shock sila, pag pick-up ko pa lang, biglang kakanta, tawanan na, hanggang bumaba tawa ng tawa lang," he said.
People from Washington DC can get to experience this joy ride with the help of Uber app.
One of his regular client is Rudy Mercado, more popularly known as DJ Pacman in the Washington DC club scene. "Yung iba normal na taxi lang, kung mahaba yun biyahe merong ganitong ano siya pakulo, di ba ma-enjoy ka habang tinatakbo ka ng taxi kung saan ka man papunta?" said Mercado.
Seen from a Youtube video filmed in his cab, his client consisting of four girls are enjoying their ride while singing a song using the karaoke.
Laguidao does not charge extra for his karaoke services unlike other karaoke cabs. The small tips and enjoyment he see from his customers are more than enough for him.
Another Pinoy pride!
